1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GPA Bot (the "Service"), including our website at gpabot.ai and our Chrome extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GPA Bot is an AI-powered Chrome extension that assists students with academic tasks. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with both free and paid tiers.

3. Account Creation

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

4. Subscription and Billing

• Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Stripe.
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fee at the start of each billing cycle.
• Prices may change with 30 days' prior notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Use the Service in a manner that violates your institution's academic integrity policies (you are responsible for understanding and complying with your school's policies)
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Share, resell, or redistribute your account access to others
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
• Use automated methods to access the Service beyond its intended interface

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, software, and code — are the exclusive property of GPA Bot and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (such as screenshots for processing). By submitting content, you grant GPA Bot a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate responses and assistance. AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and determining the suitability of any AI-generated output before use.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GPA Bot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, academic outcomes, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to GPA Bot in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
• We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period
• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including limitations of liability and intellectual property provisions)

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
