Getting Started
Which platforms does GPA Bot work on?
GPA Bot works on Canvas, D2L/Brightspace, and Blackboard, and is Chrome-only today. It works by screenshotting the quiz page rather than reading platform-specific page structure, so it isn't tied to one LMS's layout. Moodle support is not yet verified — if you're on Moodle, try it and let us know how it goes.
How do I connect GPA Bot to a local backend or a different account?
Install the extension, sign in from the popup, and open your quiz page as normal — GPA Bot activates automatically once it detects a supported quiz page loading.
Does GPA Bot work on exams or just quizzes?
GPA Bot works on any web-based assessment — quizzes, exams, homework assignments, and practice tests. If the questions display in your browser, GPA Bot can analyze them.
Is GPA Bot allowed under my school's academic integrity policy?
That depends on your institution and your instructor — GPA Bot is a study and explanation tool, not a substitute for understanding the material, and you're responsible for knowing what your school permits for practice work, homework, and graded assessments. When in doubt, ask your instructor before using any AI tool on graded work.
Accuracy & Question Types
How accurate are the answers?
Every question is sent to multiple AI models independently, and GPA Bot shows you the consensus answer along with a confidence percentage based on how much the models agreed. True/false, multiple-choice, and written/essay questions — the vast majority of real quiz questions — are handled reliably. Always use your own judgment, especially on lower-confidence answers.
Are there question types GPA Bot struggles with?
Yes — dropdown-style answer selection, drag-and-drop questions, and telling apart "choose one" (radio) vs. "select all that apply" (checkbox) questions are harder for GPA Bot to parse correctly than standard TF/MCQ/written questions. We're aware of this and it's on our radar; it affects a small minority of question formats.
My question got cut off / the answer doesn't match the question. What happened?
This usually means the full question didn't fit in a single screenshot, or the page hadn't finished loading before GPA Bot captured it. Try scrolling so the entire question is visible on screen before it processes, and make sure the page has fully loaded. If it keeps happening on a specific quiz, report it to us with the course/quiz name so we can investigate.
What AI models does GPA Bot use?
We use a proprietary cross-verification engine that evaluates every question against multiple independent reasoning paths and surfaces the answer with the highest agreement. We continuously evaluate the best models available so accuracy improves over time without you having to think about it.
Essays
How does essay mode work?
For essay questions, GPA Bot generates a draft, runs it through a verification pass, and rewrites it to sound more like natural human writing before handing it back. This takes longer than multiple-choice questions because of the extra passes. Treat the result as a draft to review and personalize, not a final answer to submit as-is — you're responsible for the work you turn in.
Will my essay draft read as AI-written?
GPA Bot's rewriting pass is aimed at producing natural-sounding prose, not at defeating any specific detection tool, and we make no guarantee about how any AI-text detector will score it. Always read, edit, and understand anything before you submit it under your name.
Billing & Plans
What's the difference between plans?
Plans differ by weekly usage limits and feature access (e.g. essay questions, confidence percentages, priority support). See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
What's the difference between Pro and Max?
Pro gives you 10 quizzes/week with cross-verified answers, explanations, and Quizlet links. Max adds unlimited quizzes, the essay writing coach, auto-input answers, citation generation, and priority support.
How does the free plan work?
The Free plan gives you 1 quiz per week with basic features, forever — no credit card required. When you're ready for more, upgrade to Basic, Pro, or Max. Annual plans save you 15% or more.
Can I get a refund?
Charges are refundable within 48 hours of the charge date if you've run fewer than 2 workflows since then. Outside that window, cancelling stops future billing but the current period isn't refunded — we'll still review case-by-case exceptions for things like duplicate charges or billing errors. See our full Refund Policy for details, or email support@gpabot.ai to request one.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Go to your account page and open the billing portal to cancel, upgrade, or downgrade. Cancelling stops future billing but keeps your access through the end of the current billing period.
How do I redeem or enter a referral code?
Referral codes aren't entered when you create your account — sign up first, then go to your account page, where you'll find a field to enter a friend's code under "Refer a Friend." Each account can redeem one code, and the reward is granted after your first paid subscription payment goes through.
Troubleshooting
GPA Bot isn't detecting my quiz page.
Make sure the page has fully loaded (including any quiz-loading spinner) before triggering GPA Bot, and that you're signed in from the popup. If it still doesn't detect the page, contact support with the URL pattern of the LMS you're using.
My answers stopped coming back / the popup seems stuck.
Long-running requests (especially essay questions) can occasionally get interrupted if Chrome puts the extension to sleep. Try reopening the popup and re-running the page — if it keeps happening, let us know and include roughly when it happened.
